As well as a great atmosphere, Hoophuizen offers steady wind and flat water. The shallow area is huge and you can blast straight out to the little island of 'Pierland’ on one tack before the seabed drops away to the shipping lane beyond. During holiday season, the campsite and its lovely beach get pretty busy. Parking is available right next to the water, although it is pay to play.
