Rio Vivo, Termoli

Molise, Abruzzo & Marche

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

Térmoli's 'Rio Vivo' below the harbour is an exceptionally good break for this region in north to north-easterly winds. Clean waves wrap around the harbour-wall to break onto a sandy beach. Good days can attract up to 100 people onto the water, many making a pilgrimage from other regions to ride here. Waves around 2m are the norm; winter can even see them mast-high. When it’s blowing north-westerly, safety conscious kiters launch at 'Kitebeach' 10km west of town. Another option is 8km east at 'Campomarino', where south-easterly also works for freestyle. But since the shore has been built up and it's now about a 200m walk in, you’ll rarely see windsurfers here.
