Salinas / San Juan
Asturias
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
This popular swimming and surfing beach becomes a full-on wave spot in strong north-easterly wind – slightly gusty cross-shore, but ideal for frontside riding. The sandy beach at Salinas is wide enough for kiting at low tide, yet there isn’t much room between the ocean and promenade at high water. Then you're better off up north by jetty at San Juan, even though the wind blows even less consistently there. Other hassles include fierce localism from the surfers, a strong current in swell, and dodgy water quality from the industry in Avilés.
