Le Boucanet

Occitanie & Pyrénées-Méditerranée

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

At the western end of the Camargue, Tramontane hands the reigns over to its brother Mistral. But Le Boucanet still needs Tram as Mistral blows bolt offshore. Sometimes a small beach-break forms from the chop in the bay of Aigues-Mortes, big enough for some fun but nothing intimidating. Watch out for groynes downwind in a south-easterly, especially if you're kiting. In summertime (officially 15 April to 15 October!) the urban beaches down to 'Le Grau-du-Roi' are a kite-free zone; even windsurfers are only tolerated after 7pm.
