The beach beside Polsmaten campsite faces three little islands out in the channel. There's a fourth close inshore – the launch is to the left, while the nature reserve to the right is home to swans and even flamingoes. Typical of the shallower Veluwemeer spots, the water stays flat here: another perfect beginner and improver venue. Be ready for a few sharp shells on the sandy seabed though.
