Aguieira
Rías Baixas, Galicia
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
A superb flat-water venue in north to north-easterly winds that's deservedly popular with a cool scene, these days comprising more kiters than windsurfers. In the Rías Baixas, freeride isn’t just freeride – it’s the blend of imposing steep cliffs and turquoise waters that make it an amazing natural experience. This beautiful, wide sandy beach is quite sheltered; you'll only notice any swell further out in the middle of Ría de Muros. Cross-onshore north-easterly rules from spring to summer, when it's locally strengthened and tends to drop off around noon and pick back up towards the evening. Afterwards you really should take a gastronomic detour to 'Porto do Son’ or 'Portosin’ for some delicious seafood.
