The only beach in the borough of Sefton where kitesurfing is allowed, Ainsdale-on-Sea offers vast, flat, sands with no real hazards. As long as it's blowing, the shallow waters are good for kiting in most wind directions, although low tide means a long walk to the water. Out back of the lagoon that forms inside, there are usually waves – albeit breaking pretty mushy. Parking is right on the beach.
