This beautiful bay with a narrow sandy beach is definitely worth a visit, if only to enjoy the fantastic seafood in one of the restaurants overlooking the turquoise waters. If you want to ride you'll need to adapt to gusty winds, as north-westerlies blow overland. Conditions only get more consistent at the end of the rocky headland. The few local riders avoid Akyarlar in the summer, waiting for winter southerlies that blow decent waves into the bay.
