Freestyle and slalom sailors feel at home on this freshwater lake, south-east of Den Helder. It’s also a good option when the North Sea is off-limits during a storm. Worst-case scenario it might get a bit choppy behind the low dyke. Basically all wind directions work, the best being west to north-west and south to south-east. Windsurfers launch north of Lutjestrand campsite, kiters to the south.
