Anholt

Every Danish kiter should make the pilgrimage via yacht or ferry to the (car-free) dune island of Anholt at least once in their lifetime. Many come back every year as 'Week 30' has reached cult status (see www.anholtuge30.dk). Anholt's exposed position some 50km offshore means excellent wind stats, while the long sandy beaches provide a perfectly relaxed atmosphere. The action’s generally south of the harbour, sometimes on the northern beach too (mainly in cross-shore winds, for safety’s sake). There are also a few freestyle areas downwind of the port.
