As Pias, Ría de Ferrol

The Ría de Ferrol's windsurf spot, located in front of the high-rise apartment blocks in the district of 'Caranza', particularly suits freeride and slalom sessions. The water quality and views of the industrial port aren't so pleasant though – every so often there’s even a sewage outfall. Further up the estuary, 'As Pias' works in north-easterly winds and below mid-tide. The seabed is muddy and it’s best to wear boots to protect from the mussels. North-easterly blows a bit more consistently at 'Maniños', which also has a large standing-depth area. It's just a shame the water quality's no better.
