Atins sits in the middle of pure outback territory on the coast of Maranhão, surrounded by endless dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. It’s a small fishermen village in the middle of the River Preguiças delta, which provides immense flat water areas as well as access to the adjacent Atlantic Ocean Atins is a great kite destination for riders of all levels including absolute beginners. Constant cross-shore winds, vast flat, shallow and warm waters inside the delta and waves outside on the Ocean.

Atins is a bit like Jericoacoara 25 years ago: really basic, just a few pousadas and restaurants, no banks, no ATMs, no credit cards and phone or internet connection is still very limited.
