Westerly winds are best right in front of 'Glücksburg’. The beach is too small for kiting – without any shallow water and with so many trees on land, it’s impossible to launch a kite safely. Windsurfers are fine, and even the lack of parking on the private road by the beach doesn't bother them (although the local residents aren't always so relaxed about it).
