The best way to get to Balistra is sailing up from 'Santa Manza' . which would be ideal if the route didn’t pass downwind of Capo Bianco in a westerly. Plan B is a half-hour drive along bumpy, winding roads. Westerlies are gusty, but great for speed and freestyle. Easterlies deliver some waves and a shorebreak – but at least you’ll be virtually alone on the water!
