This long, wide, sandy beach, separated by rock groynes, is better for volleyball or sunbathing in the summertime. Whereas Garbí is still reliable in Peñíscola and the Ebro Delta, it backs off here and only kicks in again beyond Valencia as a south-easterly. Hence Benicàssim and the spots further south are best for winter low-pressures, which deliver waves.
