The vast, gently shelving Playa de Berria is equally popular with surfers and swimmers in summer. When north-easterly wind gets strong enough, you can score great cross-onshore sessions in mostly moderate waves. Wave height and current significantly increase in strong winter north-westerly, when the best waves break off the headland to the west. Experts only, as the beach gets pretty narrow at high tide.
