Björkäng

The further south you go, the sandier the beaches get. Björkäng's big open bay is much quieter than nearby Varberg, and wind's really consistent. That's why it's so popular with beginners and kitesurf schools. There are some rules though: always stay south of the launch, never ride through the swimming zone in front of the campsite – and keep out of the nature reserve further north. Thanks to the summer visitors there's a kiosk, toilets, showers . even portable saunas that can be wheeled onto the beach – a real treat after a long session!
