The relatively rocky spots around Götborg are mostly after-work options for local windsurfers. Björlanda Kile has at least a few metres of sand and works regularly, year-round, as a sea breeze strengthens westerly airflows. Watch out for boat traffic on the water – the small shallow area descends into the neighbouring marina’s deep water channel pretty quick. Can get busy in summer, when the tiny launch is also popular with sunbathers.
