Plage du Martray is shielded from any beach-break by the curve of the bay. Unfortunately, the north-westerly summer thermal also bypasses the beach. Oyster-beds lurk beneath the water’s surface to the west of the sea-wall, so you’re better-off staying east towards 'Plage des Prises' – although a reef does lie in wait for fins there.
