Typical of La Manche’s French coast, autumn to spring often brings west to north-westerly low-pressure wind and messy beach-breaks. Freeride prevails in lighter airs and north-easterly summer thermals, though if it’s strong enough this wind direction has great frontside waveriding potential. Best waves on an ebb tide, and the wide sandy beach becomes a sand-yachting playground at low water.
