On the top half of the high tide, a swell delivers big waves that break over a sandbar and rock ledge here; best in is north-westerly wind. Without swell, bump-&-jump is the norm. In summer there’s a marked kite zone at 'Plage des Dunes'. Windsurfers gravitate towards the Centre Nautique – and while most surfers hang out at 'La Sauzaie’ reef-break, there are a few in the water here as well.
