In summer this long, sandy beach comes complete with hordes of holidaymakers, caravan parks – the whole works. Good waves can be found at either end of the beach; southerly wind is clean and cross-shore. There are numerous local surf-spots too, all regular haunts of the 'East Coast Surf Club’.
