Brusand

The area’s best break in a south-easterly, which blows perfectly cross-shore here. If there’s a big swell, you need to be pretty confident of your riding skills as the beach-break runs chaotically and there are rocks downwind. Despite all that, 'locals' from Stavanger put up with the full hour it takes to drive here. Brusand shows a different side without swell; freestylers and even beginners will also really enjoy it here. There’s a campsite right by the beach – but if you’re not staying there, keep out of the car-park as its owner is hardcore!
