Budle Bay, Bamburgh
East & North-East England
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
This beautiful spot is particularly popular with kiters in SW-W winds. The tidal lagoon fills up 2 hours before high tide and empties 4 hours later. Relatively shallow in spots. No waves get into the lagoon so there's just wind chop to handle. Best on an incoming tide, the currents can get quite strong so be careful in westerly winds on an outgoing tide. There is also not much beach at high tide. As a migratory route for many species of bird Budle Bay is closed to kitesurfing from 1st November to the end of March.
