Two kilometres up the coast at the Bülk lighthouse, conditions on the headland are similar to Strande. Flat water in southerlies, steep (if slightly shorter) waves in north to north-easterly. The launch is mainly rocky (and again, look out for groynes) but at least parking is free. South-westerlies work best 500m south . right in front of the sewage outfall. Swimming’s banned here due to the poor water quality – so if you fall in, keep everything shut!
