A wide-open dune landscape and friendly atmosphere make this a popular spot. Huge days are possible and it can get pretty gnarly when the anemometer hits Force 7, which is common this far north. The otherwise inert stone breakwaters every 250m can then cause trouble. The only drawback is a bit of a walk from the parking on the edge of town – but at least it's free!
