The beach of Camposoto is at the north of a headland stretching all the way to 'Sancti Petri'. In strong enough Poniente there are messy waves and powerful shorebreak at high tide. It stays smaller in summer and offshore Levante. Until recently, the nature reserve was a military exercise zone; wind and weather occasionally expose an old shell casing or two.
