The long sandy beach of 'Praia Canide’ is a great summer wave spot, sometimes with large, powerful yet disorganised waves breaking around rocks in the middle of the bay. It's best to get some local knowledge about those rocks, and not wise to head out alone. The Nortada isn't thermally reinforced here, so 5m sails and 9m kites are most common. No-one rides here in southerlies due to the fierce currents and mean mountains of water.
