Bordighera seaside resort’s breakwater wraps open-sea swell towards the beach, providing surfable waves in strong easterly low-pressure wind. The longest waves break all the way to Hotel Parigi, mid-way along the beach. Less wind usually means flat-water conditions, when the Rio Borghetto estuary is worth a look. It hosts a large standing-depth area, ideal for freeride and freestyle.
