Castillo de Romeral

In southerly winds (most likely in winter) this is an increasingly popular kite venue. The waves don’t get quite as big, but run really clean. The best launch is west of the little electricity substation, or try straight from the harbour's sandy beach (although you'll have to make a few short tacks upwind to stay safely away from the jetty). Overall not a place for beginners – but that goes for almost every spot on this island. Post-session you can eat well and affordably in the little harbour restaurant in a typical Canarian ambiance, complete with a view of the water.
