Although Poniente is perfectly rideable in chop or small waves, Chipiona works best as a freeride spot in northerlies (stronger and starting earlier than on other beaches around here). But blowing slightly offshore, the wind is a little gusty. At low tide, a rocky reef exposes in the southern end. The water affords great views of the lighthouse and ancient monastery. Kiting is banned in summer.
