Civitanova is for riders who like to cruise in peace. The winds are mostly moderate; most common sizes are 14m kites and 6.5m sails. North-north-west and south-easterly are cross-shore – if it blows hard or onshore, the small chop can become a bit of a beach-break. The launch is from a wide shingle beach along the southern promenade at 'Civitanova Kite Beach’. There's plenty of parking along the seafront, plus lively bars, pizzerias and restaurants year-round.
