Good for all abilities, Cold Knap catches a great sea breeze on a sunny day making it one of the most popular intermediate windsurfing locations in the area. Kiters should take care launching and landing on the pebbles though. If there's swell the break offers a punchy little wave with good jumping at low tide. The current can be strong at high tide, with a mean shorebreak and a rip around the headland to the east – head to Barry Island if it's too much.
