Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

North to north-westerly wind gets thermally strengthened here, regularly hitting Force 5-7 from June to September thanks to a local Venturi that forms between the shifting dunes and headland behind the beach. The water usually stays flat and good for freeride, although in a bit of swell you can score a few turns on some clean waves. The wind close inshore is very gusty for kiting though. Onshore south to south-westerlies mean big surf, but just like many other exposed beaches the wild mountains of white water soon get too much. The vast dunes and rivermouth are off-limits as a nature reserve – if you get caught landing there, you can expect a fine of several hundred euros.
