The beach behind the dunes of Costa Nova is a reliable Nortada wave spot in summer. It blows less gusty than 'Barra' and the waves between the small groynes are bigger, albeit not as clean. If the beach is too busy, head further south – in August there's room to launch on the nudist beach. South-westerly often blows too onshore in winter, when the region's other breaks will work better.
