Crosby

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
At the mouth of the River Mersey on the outskirts of Liverpool, Crosby promises a large sandy beach and another long walk to the water at low tide – yet unfortunately the permanent installation of Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' artwork has rendered the beach unsafe from mid-tide up. Since kitesurfing was banned here, you might be the only rider out. But you'll never be alone as 100 cast-iron, life-size representations of the British sculptor look out to sea along three kilometres of the foreshore, some almost a kilometre out!
