Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
20km south of the camps, a clean, endlessly long break runs around a little headland within eyeshot of Dakhla town. The super-clean waves break over a reef plate and peel for so long that it’s not unusual to get five bottom-turns per ride in cross-offshore winds. Small to medium swell is a dream for wave newcomers too. Away from the reef-break, it’s a relaxed launch on fine white sand; just watch out for a few rocks in the water at low tide.
Unfortunately the recently built camp has negative impact on the wind. With a kite it's still ok, but windsurfers need to dodge a bit further south where the waves aren't as good.
