If it blows hard north-westerly for a couple of days to build a chunky swell on the North Sea, Amrum's southern tip offers a blue wonder. The waves form cleanly on the point to allow perfect down-the-line riding in cross-shore winds. A rare occurrence, but a fantastic sight offering ten or more turns on mid-sized waves. Without question you need a buddy – both for safety reasons, and so someone believes the tale of your session!
