The waves are even cleaner in front of the Royal Belgian Sailing Club than at 'Surfers Paradise' as the harbour breakwater upwind brings a little order to the North Sea chaos. When a west-south-westerly blows strong enough, this break offers real down-the-line waveriding. In moderate winds beginners can find patches of flat water between the rock groynes, every 400m.
