10km east of Thurso, this sandy bay shares its neighbour's swell characteristics. Awesome in a south-westerly wind, the waves here are as impressive as the view of the powerful cliffs at Dunnet Head. There’s also a caravan park, where you can tell from the regulars that strangers don’t show up too often!
