El Pollo

From El Perellonet south, the Costa de la Albufera's south-easterly afternoon thermal suits relaxed freeride from April until October – and when Garbí reaches its full force in the late afternoon, it even creates a bit of chop or small bump-&-jump waves. The wide beach of El Perellonet welcomes kiters south of the rivermouth in summer. There’s even a school with an official kite zone and a restaurant serving the most delicious seafood. Kiting is again banned in summer at El Pouet though. The classic windsurfing beach of El Mareny Blau is also too narrow, very close to buildings are full of sunbathers in peak season. El Pollo, north of the town of El Dossel, is very popular for kiting. This long nudist beach always offers room to launch, even in the summer, although parking is hard to find at weekends. Garbí blows cross-shore, nice and consistent down this whole stretch of coast. But the seas churn during winter low-pressures, when you’re best off at El Mareny or Valencia's wave spots.
