El Riuet
Costa Brava & Barcelona
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Riuet (Catalan for 'stream’) is where L’Escala’s locals converge, and the standard on the water is accordingly high. The wind’s generally good for freeride, although a strong Tramontana will produce swell outside and some shorebreak on the beach. Levante sees really big waves crashing onto this stretch of coastline – and the potent combination of shorebreak, currents and onshore winds dramatically reduces the numbers on the water. There’s more space for kiting north of the stream – and in summer you’ll have to move up to the kite zone at 'Cortal' anyway.
