El Saler is also too far inside the Gulf of Valencia to enjoy a reliable Garbí – the only exception to the rule is early in the season, when it can blow even stronger than further south. Winter's cross-onshore north-easterly winds see this spot slip further down the rankings as the waves break chaotically onto a very narrow beach. Kiters are better off elsewhere.
