Elly is Bellmullet's best-known spot, famous for its left-handers in south to south-westerly wind. Waves break over a reef in the south, or over sand further into the bay. This corner of Ireland scores the most swell, so it’s really more for experienced wavesailors. The waves are best on flood tide. Make sure you don't block the access road when parking.
