Playa de Ereaga sits a bit deeper inside Ría de Bilbao and – unlike 'Arrigunaga' – also works at low tide, when the waves are actually better here. In order for some waves to even make it in, it does need big swell though, otherwise it’s usually relaxed freeride. North-westerly and south-westerly (cross-on) blow in best, pure westerly is onshore and often very gusty. Surrounded by industry near Bilbao's large harbour, the water quality isn't for the squeamish!
