At low tide the beach of Espasante gets very wide – north-westerly blows cross-on, westerly is onshore. It gets interesting with some swell, when you can ride small waves that peel around the harbour-walls. At low tide, work out where the rocks are in the water: about level with the colourful bungalows. It's a bit of a walk through dunes to the water, which is full of swimmers in summer.
