Fener

Undoubtedly the best spot on the peninsula. The channel between Kos and the mainland delivers Fener a Force or two more wind than the other beaches around here, with a total of about 250 windy days a year. Also unmatched for versatility, it offers perfect training conditions near the beach, plenty of room for long freeride runs – and if the wind has enough west in it, even a bit of rolling swell outside. The beach isn't so wide, yet unlike others around here there is enough room for kiting in a relaxed atmosphere. Kiters stay upwind, windsurfers a little further downwind.
