Flag Beach

A white, fine sandy beach, turquoise water and views of Lanzarote and Los Lobos – Flag’s a real beauty! North-easterly Passat blows cross-shore, but often not until afternoon. Although primarily a freeride spot, S and N swell can wrap in year-round bringing sweet waves that don’t break quite as steep or hollow as elsewhere on the North Shore. Not a big deal, but just in case: remember where the rocks expose at low tide. Kitesurfers stay further left, windsurfers to the right. Parking’s on the road, then it’s 150m walk to the water. Snacks are available beside Flag Beach Windsurf & Kitesurf Centre – but just like along the whole North Shore, you’ll search for toilets in vain.
