Even when winter storms blast across the island, the water stays flat in the natural harbour of Fornells. Northerlies deliver ideal conditions for freestyle, racers and beginners (or just watching from the beach-bar as they cruise between town and the little island). Keep an eye out for all the traffic, as the school’s students are rarely experienced in evasive manoeuvres. A small beach, the jetty downwind, plus so many anchored boats sadly make kiting impossible.
