This region’s favourite kite spot is best in a south-westerly, which is accelerated by a venturi in Sallenelles Bay. The north-easterly thermal is still pretty weak, only filling in on the western beaches. On ebb tide, waves break on a sandbank for some decent riding. Kiters wanting a more relaxed day can try the small, shallow lagoons. The nice sandy beach offers plenty of space, maybe a little too much at low water – it could be a half-hour walk back to the car!
